No matter the era—or the location—the library has been a vibrant part of the Wamego community. Now the library is again growing and looking to expand our 7,000 square feet to nearly 13,000 square feet. The dream that began over eight decades ago is alive and well as we, the Wamego Community set our sights towards the next eighty years.
The library has outgrown our large meeting room and must rent space in the Wamego community to accommodate our Summer Reading Program, as well as other programming throughout the year. We continue to see an increase in traffic, programming attendance and WiFi connections. The community counts on the library for computer access to apply for jobs, research business startup resources, programming for all ages, and of course, books!
We need your help to move forward with our plans for an expansion and renovation of the current library. Additional space will help us to provide services more efficiently to our growing community. Your financial support will allow us to increase our physical and digital collections, provide additional technology to our patrons, and expand space for library programs and the various needs of our community.
